The Boone County Commissioners heard a request to vacate CR 860 W and CR 875 W at their Monday meeting, but opted to table the issue until their Aug. 21 meeting.
The vacation request came to the commissioners from US Aggregates, a gravel and sand company in Thorntown. Michael Andreoli, an attorney for the company, said the request would be a win-win for the county and US Aggregates, because the county would not have to maintain the road and because the company would have control over the road running through the company’s property.
