On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at approximately 3:52pm, Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of State Road 47 and County Road 500 East, Lebanon, IN on a vehicle collision with an ejection and entrapment.
Upon initial investigation, it was determined that a 2009 Pontiac G5S, driven by Alexis Walker (21 years old) of Brownsburg, IN, was traveling northbound on County Road 500 East just south of State Road 47. The Pontiac failed to yield the right of way and continued northbound on County Road 500 East over State Road 47. A RAM ProMaster Utility Van was traveling east bound on State Road 47 and attempted to get into the opposite lane of travel to avoid the Pontiac; however, collided with the front of the Pontiac. The utility van was driven by David Griffith (32 years old) of Fishers, IN.
Alexis Walker was ejected from the Pontiac and David Griffith was entrapped in the Utility Van. Both Alexis Walker and David Griffith were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team responded to the scene to investigate. At this time the incident is still under investigation.
