Virgil Thomas Wills, 71, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Lebanon, on March 15, 1952, a son of the late Marion Herbert Wills and Margaret Julia (Lowder) Wills.

Virgil graduated from Lebanon High School. After graduating, he honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On November 10, 1979, he was married to LaDonna Rose (Hayden) Wills in Lebanon. She preceded him in death on May 16, 2017.

Virgil was a lifelong member at the VFW and the Moose Lodge in Lebanon. He was a big fan of NASCAR and enjoyed watching any sport. He loved his dogs and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his two sons, Eric (Michelle) Gibson and Charles “Chuck” Gibson; three grandchildren, Devon (Liv) Clark, Zachary Gibson, and Hannah Gibson; two great granddaughters, Harper Gibson and Adaline Presley; and niece, Amanda Lundy.

In addition to his parents and wife, Virgil was preceded in death by his grandson, Bentley Matthew Gibson and two sisters, Audrey Allen, and Julia “Judy” Barton.

Funeral Services are planned for Monday, February 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Cremation will follow services at Boone County Crematory in Lebanon, Indiana.
