Mrs. Virginia “Ginger” Lee Clark, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021.

Ginger was born March 28, 1938, in Rockville, a daughter of the late Elsworth Mathias Carlin and Julia Pearl (Jarrett) Carlin Mather. She married Donald Royce Clark on Sep. 14, 1956. He survives.

Ginger attended Ben Davis and then, Zionsville High School, where she enjoyed playing softball and running track. She and her husband, Don, established their family farm in 1960, where she proudly worked for many years. Ginger served on the Boone County 4-H Board of Directors and as a Girl Scout leader. She loved spending time with her family, along with reading, working puzzles, and listening to country music.

Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Don Clark of Lebanon; son, Gene (Crystal) Clark of Whitestown; daughter, Pam Clark of Lebanon; sister, Suzanna Mather Paitsel of South Carolina; grandchildren, Tiffany (Leo) Clark Leffert of West Lafayette, Andy Clark of Whitestown, and Drew Clark of Whitestown; great-grandchildren, Holly Leffert, Patrick Clark, Kaiden Joseph, and Paige Clark; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Ginger was preceded in death by her step-father, John Mather; brothers, Kenneth and Robert Carlin and Ernest Mather; and brother-in-law, Mickey Paitsel.

Private family funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Ginger will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Riley Children’s Hospital.
