Lebanon Public Library

In coordination with the Boone County Health Department, the Lebanon Public Library will be closed until further notice to prevent the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19. We will be closing at 5 p.m. today (March 16).

– Our book drop will be closed during this time, so please hold on to everything you have checked out
– We will waive any late fees that accrue between now and when we reopen

Boone REMC

Boone REMC provides an essential electric service to the communities it serves. Therefore, we have decided to close the office in Lebanon, Ind. to the public, until further notice due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The health of employees and members of Boone REMC are the first priority. Currently, Boone REMC will plan to maintain the regular staffing of employees. Boone REMC continues to stay in close contact with the state and national cooperative organizations, as well as other healthcare providers, as they monitor the situation. They continue to follow the protocol from the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. Boone REMC continues to provide electric service during this uncertain time. Temporarily, Boone REMC will not be disconnecting services to ensure the safety and health of the members. Members will be able to pay their electric bills through various other avenues. Consumer members can pay on the SmartHub app, through PayNow online, by MoneyGram, at the dropbox on the west side of the Lebanon office building, and by phone at 877-779-8583. Center Stage Theater

Since the governor has requested that no groups of more than 10 attendees meet due to the corona virus crisis, Center Stage Community Theatre of Lebanon, IN, has decided to cancel its last two weekends of our production of Don’t Drink the Water.

City of Frankfort

The City of Frankfort will be suspending the following services through the end of March:
• Frankfort Fire Department will postpone regular, annual fire inspections until April. Please contact the Frankfort Fire Department at (765) 654-4329 with any questions.
• Frankfort Street Department will suspend bulk-item collection and drop-off until April. Please contact the Street Department at (765) 659-2912 with any questions.
• Frankfort Parks Department has closed all public restrooms until April. If you have any questions regarding park operations, please call (765) 659-3422
• Frankfort Building Services Department will suspend interior home inspections until April. Please contact Building Services at (765) 654-5278 with any questions.

Lebanon Community Schools

In response to the most recent guidance from state and federal agencies to limit in-person contact during the COVID-19 outbreak, all Lebanon Community School Corporation offices and facilities will close on Monday, March 16 at 4 p.m.
Today’s decision does not impact food or technology support services offered during the extended eLearning period. While some in-person work, such as cleaning, maintenance, and security is essential for operation, all district personnel will work remotely if possible.
LCSC Food Services will still distribute food on Monday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition, the Food Pantry at Hattie B. Stokes Elementary will be open on Thursday, March 19 from 4:30-6 p.m. These services are available to all students and children under the age of 18.
The eLearning Help Desk will remain open daily on school days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Calls, texts, and emails received outside of these hours will be returned on the following school day.
Students, staff, families, and caregivers in need of assistance should contact their school or the LCSC Administration Center at 765-482-0380.
The LCSC Board of Trustees will meet as scheduled on Tuesday, March 17 at 7 p.m. in HB Wells. While this meeting is open to the public, we recommend that those who wish to attend do so remotely by following our livestream.

LCSC will be closed for spring break March 30-April 3. We are scheduled to return to school on Monday, April 6. We anticipate sharing additional updates through our mass notification system, as well as our website, media, and social media channels.

Boone Senior Services

All “senior center” programs and activities both at the Lebanon & Zionsville location, as well as out & about in our communities have been suspended until March 30, 2020. The Zionsville Office is closed until Wednesday, April 1st. The Lebanon office front door will be locked.
We will be continually re-assessing the situation and make any other changes/updates as necessary.
Other than no new in-home assessments, all Personal (in-home) Service provision as well as Transit Services will go on as normal. These programs are essential to basic needs, and are also highly regulated by the Indiana State Department of Health and the Indiana Department of Transportation.
