Ms. Wanda Ilene Golden, 83, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Jul. 5, 2023, at her home in Lebanon. She was born May 29, 1940, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Arthur Wilbur and Audrey (Grant) Walton.
Wanda had worked at Parkwood Nursing Home for a long time as a nurse’s aide, while she attended nursing school, and then came back to work there as a licensed practical nurse. She had also worked for Plainfield Healthcare. Wanda enjoyed serving as a caregiver. She was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Ron (Elaine) Golden of Lebanon and Barb (Brian) Lebo of Lebanon; grandchildren, Cory (Brittney) Johnson, Dana Lebo, David (Jane) Lebo, Cheyenne Crist, and Kyle Hale; great grandchildren, Brantley Crist, Alex, Rosie, and Caeden Lebo, Cole Johnson, and Abbie Johnson; and brother, John Walton.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by the father of her children, J.B. Golden who died Mar. 26, 2012.
Family and friends will gather Monday, July 10, 2023 for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at12:00 p.m. with Rev. Merv McNair officiating in the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 858 W. 250 N., Lebanon, IN 46052. Wanda will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Final care of Wanda has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
