The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everyone in some way, and our local community is no different. Farm commodity prices have suffered due to economic uncertainty. Unemployment is on the rise due to many businesses being temporarily closed due to the pandemic. This creates more demand for food pantries. The mission of the Milk and Meat for Boone County is to help support our farmers and community by raising money to purchase large volumes of milk and meat and donating those products to local food pantries. Western Boone FFA has made an initial pledge of $1000 towards this campaign and they are seeking your support.
