William “Bill” Daryl Sanders, 67, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born on March 21, 1955 in Lafayette, Indiana; son of the late Wiley “Bud” and Martha (Mintier) Sanders.

He was a 1973 graduate of Lafayette Jeff High School and a 1978 graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. On December 24, 2004, in Lafayette, Indiana he was married to Christine (Eckert) Sanders. They enjoyed 17 loving years together and she survives.

Bill was a computer programmer and worked for Simon Company as a senior engineer and also with FCCI Group as a computer programmer.

He was a Murat Shriner and Mason with the Lafayette Lodge #123. He enjoyed studying genealogy, playing guitar, and writing music. He adored his fur babies and valued his time with family, grandchildren and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Chris Sanders of Lebanon; sons, Christopher (Valarie) Sanders of Lebanon, Matthew Sanders of Lafayette; stepchildren, Amy (John) Goddard of Haubstadt, Indiana, Jamie (Brian) Shelton of Evansville, Brian (Katie) Klump of Lynville, Indiana; grandchildren, Kathryn and Kaden Sanders; Step grandchildren, Kyndel Klump, Brody Shelton, Rylynn Goddard, Taylen Goddard, Hunter Klump, Hanna Klump; brother, Mark (Sara) Sanders of Lafayette; sister, Wilene (Scott) Gillim of Indianapolis; fur babies, Molly & Potsie; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon. Burial of Ashes will follow visitation at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Myer Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
