William Robert “Bill” Woolery, 70, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at his residence.

Bill was born in Berea, KY, February 15, 1952, a son of the late Robert & Nannie (Lamb) Woolery. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1971. He married the love of his life, Diana Wines, on February 16, 1974.

Bill was a fireman for Center Township Fire Department in Lebanon for 41 years.  He loved working on cars, especially Ford Mustangs. He worked at Lenox Lincoln Mercury after high school until they closed.

Bill loved visiting the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. He also loved Kentucky basketball. Their home was always open to family and friends, as he loved to support his kids and all their friends.

Survivors include his wife, Diana; children, James “Jim” (Gina) Woolery of Lebanon and Timothy (Natalie) Woolery of Jamestown; honorary son, Jason (Kassie) Frazier of Lebanon; brothers, Bud (Diana) Woolery and Tommy “Nathan” Woolery; sisters, Donna (Rev. Bob) Trafford and Linda (Gary) Payne; grandchildren, Kennedy Williamson (fiancé, Chris Brown), Taber Ford, Xavier Ford, Porter Woolery, Brody, Kade, Brilynn and Kellan Woolery and honorary grandchildren, Charli and Cooper Frazier; mother-in-law, Wanda Wines; sister-in-law, Linda Wines and Kay Hall; and brother-in-law, David Wines.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charlie Wines.

Family and friends will gather Sunday, January 8, 2023 for visitation from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. The funeral service will be held, Monday, January 9, at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Bill will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
