William Warren Bevard, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Witham Memorial Hospital. He was born in Richmond on September 7, 1941, a son of the late Arthur Dalton Bevard and Della May (Peck) Maher. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather James Maher.
William graduated from high school in Indianapolis. On July 1, 1960, he was married to LaReata May (Johnson) Bevard; she preceded him in death on June 22, 2020.
William was employed at Bryant Heating and Cooling in Indianapolis for several years. After his retirement, he went to work at American Legion Post #410 in Whitestown.
William attended United Methodist Church in Whitestown. He enjoyed being outdoors, he especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and playing horseshoes. William will be missed by all.
Survivors include his children, Carl (Kelly) Bevard of Thorntown, Angela (Robert) Glendenning of Indianapolis, and Laura (Fred) Moody of Lebanon; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, parents and stepfather, William was preceded in death by his son, Robert Allen Bevard, and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
