Gwen Haynes
Mrs. Willodean Gwendolyn Haynes, 75, passed away on November 24, 2022, at her home in Indianapolis. She was born November 21, 1947, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Winfred Boyles and Ruth Ellen Spurlock.
On September 23, 1969, she was united in marriage to Daniel L Haynes in Fairbanks, Alaska; he survives.
Gwen was a 1966 graduate of Granville Wells High School and had attended Purdue University. Having lived in Alaska for a few years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Alaska National Bank. After moving back to Indiana, Gwen previously had worked for Union Federal Bank and Diamond Chain, before retiring from St. Franciscan Hospital.
She enjoyed music, sewing, and playing solitaire. Above all, she loved her family dearly.
Survivors include her husband, Dan Haynes of Indianapolis; son, Timothy S. (Shannon) Haynes of Dubuque, Iowa; grandson, Otis W. Haynes; and brother, Jerry (Tracy) Boyles of Kirklin.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Funeral Services are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in the Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
