Lauren Cupp
A woman is in custody after allegedly firing at police officers while walking with her children in Zionsville. Thirty-five-year-old Lauren Cupp is charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, neglect of a dependent and resisting law enforcement. Police say they located Cupp, who had an active warrant, and tried to arrest her Monday afternoon. She is accused of getting out a firearm and firing a single shot in the direction of officers, then abandoning her children to run away on foot. A K-9 unit found Cupp nearby in a wooded area and her children were taken into safety.
