One person is dead after a house fire in Boone County. Zionsville Fire Department and Whitestown Fire Department were dispatched to the one-story home in the 8000 block of E 100 S. at 9:21Thursday morning. When Firefighters arrived on the scene they found fire coming from multiple areas of the single-story residence and made entry through windows and doors attempting to locate anyone inside. Fire crews were unable to stay in the building due to worsening conditions. The victim was found after the fire was extinguished. The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
